Alisha Taylor is the Founder and Executive Director of The Chosen, Covered & Called Foundation.

 

Raised in the church as one of six children, Alisha often wrestled with feeling overlooked and out of place. What once made her feel like an outcast has now become the very evidence of God’s hand on her life. Through discovering her true identity in Christ, she learned that her difference was divine.

 

From childhood into her teenage years, Alisha walked through deep valleys—time in the juvenile court system, group homes, mental health facilities, and surviving rape, domestic abuse, and other life-shaping trials. She spent six years in the juvenile system, which she now recognizes as God’s protection and preservation. Despite the odds stacked against her, Jesus brought her out, restored her, and positioned her to thrive from the moment she was released at 18.

 

Though she always knew of Jesus, it wasn’t until 2023 that Alisha wholeheartedly surrendered and rededicated her life to Him. Since then, she has embraced her calling with boldness and obedience, guided spiritually by her mentors, her sister-in-love, and her involvement in programs such as

The Rib & Co, Woman to Woman, Her Identity,The Intercessors Circle (TIC), and others that helped cultivate her walk.

 

Now at 27, Alisha is a devoted wife, mother of three—Harmony, Peace, and Wisdom—and a multi-passionate entrepreneur. She and her family are active members of Kingdom First Christian Church  in Indianapolis under the leadership of Bishop Christopher Woods and Executive Pastor Selena Woods, who continue to nurture her spiritual growth and development.

 

Through every season of her life, one truth remained constant—Alisha was chosen by God to impact young women. After giving God her complete “yes,” He entrusted her with the vision to launch The Chosen, Covered & Called Foundation. Today, she empowers young women who have experienced hardship, rejection, and identity struggles to embrace who they are in Christ and to boldly step into their God-given purpose.
